L3 Forest School course

Creative Forest School Leadership Level 3 Course accredited by Ascentis

The Certificate in Forest School Programme Leadership is aimed at professionals, independents and people already working with groups of young people, who wish to make the most of their working creatively and long-term in an outdoor setting. The Level 3 Creative Practitioners award is equivalent to an A-Level and is a long-term course of study combining intensive training sessions, self-directed learning, tutorials and practical assessments.

We are offering a Unique Creative Forest School Level 3 course for people wanting to train as practitioners and leaders. Unlike other local courses, we are offering a wider breadth of learning opportunities to include the creative arts using nature as our guide, within a Forest School setting, and unlike our competitors we are delivering the course to appeal to practitioners and leaders who want to engage with 11-16 year olds (in KS3) rather than with Early Years. Therefore, all activities will be focused on youth development and learning.

The benefits of becoming a Forest School Practitioner

Falmouth Forest School offers courses that teach practitioners to explore ways of enabling young people to become more confident in the natural environment. During Forest School training practitioners develop an understanding of how long term Forest School provision can have a positive impact upon behaviour and motivation. The training courses give an insight into many subject areas: cognitive development, youth development, natural learning patterns, self esteem, challenging and anti social behaviour.

Forest School training is particularly successful in enabling practitioners to develop self-esteem and confidence building programmes that motivate young people who, for a range of reasons, struggle in a more formal classroom environment. Our specialised course encourage practitioners to look at ways of meeting the Early Years or KS1&2 or KS3 & 4 (11- 18yrs) National Curriculum learning objectives.
